MoneyGirls was a pre-seed startup that was building a community for rising women to discuss personal finance and career topics. The company started as a content business and managed a blog, newsletter, and social media channels to answer community questions. I worked with the founding team to prototype and design a mobile app that would serve as a private community forum for the MoneyGirls audience. Users could post and reply to questions, respond to polls about their financial health and career decisions, and read guides written by other successful leaders. We launched a beta version of the app in Summer 2020 with about 100 users.
The main view of the app was a forum of questions asked by the community. Each question could also include a poll.

The user's dashboard showed a customized snapshot of all polls, compared to other relevant groups of users.

We experimented with a waitlist too. While on the waitlist, users could submit questions to the community to move up the list.
