Curated catalog of tools for digital designers

This was one of the first websites I built using Ruby on Rails. The site was a collection of tools and resources for digital designers. I built a simple tool model, and learned about working with models/views/controllers. Users could login with Twitter and then upvote their favorites. I then launched an associated newsletter and started accepting paid sponsorships from related design companies. The site was visited over 200k times in the first year, and I sold the site in the following year.
